Résumé :

The main problems which may arise during the peri-operative period in young children with congenital cardiac malformations are described on the basis of the authors' personal experience and a review of the literature. Adequate treatment requires close collaboration between all members of an experienced medicosurgical team working in a well equipped center serving a population of sufficient size.
