Résumé : Sixteen patients with acute pulmonary embolism have been treated with streptokinase. Twelve recoveries including a nearly total pulmonary revascularization, have been observed. There were 4 fatal outcomes. Indications and possible complications (allergic or hemorrhagic) of fibrinolytic treatment are discussed. When diagnosis of recent massive pulmonary embolism is confirmed by lung scanning and/or angiography, fibrinolytic treatment seems then specially indicated.
