Résumé :

Precise localization of the structural gene for the S18 ribosomal protein has been completed. The rpxR gene maps at minute 84 on the bacterial chromosome between the cycA and pyrB markers. This confirms the existence of a ribosomal protein gene outside the cluster at minute 64.
