Résumé : Relaxation of dielectric constant and of conductivity against frequency was studied on Pyrex plugs in the presence of very diluted KCl solutions. An electrical equivalent representation of the measuring cell was developed, allowing interpretation of some secondary effects. Suitable treatment of the experimental data led to the characteristic parameters of the dispersion, according to a Debye mechanism. An interpretation is proposed, which uses the Maxwell equation and which considers the expanded double layer as a third phase. The inclusion of secondary effects in computer simulation of the relaxation mechanism provides a good fit of the experimental data. © 1973.
