Résumé : | The authors present a study of the epidemiology of occupational dermatoses due to tropical timbers in Belgian wood industry. In most of the cases, primary irritation appears to be the origin of these dermatoses. One case of alerce allergy (Fitzroya cupressoides is reported, demonstrated by patch tests with alcoholic extracts. It is important to notice that consumers can develop contact dermatitis from tropical woods. |
