Résumé : The ratio between the cytoplasmic and nucleoid volume is considerably increased in Thermobacterium acidophilus R 26 cells when growth rate is decreased by the lack of deoxyribonucleic acid in the culture medium. It remains constant when the limitation of growth is obtained by suppressing uracil, presumably indispensable for ribonucleic acid synthesis. © 1952.
