Résumé : The care of HIV-exposed children is not limited to the treatment of the medical complications of the infection. It starts during pregnancy with a reflexion on the appropriate care for each case and with the prevention of mother-to-child virus transmission. After birth, the early diagnosis of the child infectious status is made. In each circumstance, psychological and social support is brought. A multidisciplinary team composed of paediatricians, nurses, social workers and psychologists, in collaboration with obstetricians and internists as well as access to a reference laboratory are essential to face the challenges of this infection.
