Résumé : The child psychiatric consultation painfully solicits the narcissistic balance of the parents and the child. The taking into account by the therapist of this violence inherent to the situation enables him to recognize, in the patients as in himself, the affects of hate it mobilizes, and facilitates the elaboration of the narcissistic defences which tend to hamper the construction of a therapeutic alliance.
