Résumé : Description of a new species in the genus Sabicea from the island of São Tomé. This species differs from S. dewevrei De Wild. & Th. Durand in having inflorescences with 4 bracts, papery leaves, and flowers with a longer corolla. The differences with regard to S. gigantea Wernham are: inflorescences with 4 bracts, habit a lianescent shrub, peduncles of inflorescences longer and hairier. A key of the genus is presented for this island.
