Résumé : A two-component lattice model is considered in which each portion of a type A (type B) molecule which faces a neighboring site can be in any one of qA (qB) different states, only one of which can form a bond with a neighboring unlike molecule. A neighboring pair of like molecules does not interact, but a neighboring pair of unlike molecules forms a hydrogen bond if both see each other as being in bonding states, and repel if either sees the other as being in a nonbonding state. Here it is explicitly assumed that the bonding state of a molecule seen by one neighbor is independent of its bonding state seen by other neighbors. The model can be written as a ferromagnetic Ising model with a temperature dependent coupling constant, and it exhibits both an upper and a lower critical solution temperature. © 1984 American Institute of Physics.
