Résumé : As any other phenomenon pertaining to the order of the social, characteristic of the human species, language may be approached through the three sub-orders coined as biological (phonetics), symbolic (syntax and semantics) and structural (politics). The political dimension of language has been generally forgotten by the main theoricians, Bourdieu exepted, which entails the obliteration of the fact that any human communication, beyond its phonetic, synctatic and semantic aspects, hails from a place which can always be located within a domination system.
