| Résumé : | The purpose of this article is to present different aspects of metallurgy and to show the need for process control in metallurgy. It is emphasized that, to achieve the best quality, a very good control of all the processes is needed due to the great variety of raw materials. Moreover, this goal has to be obtained with a minimum of production costs including metal efficiency, energy consumption, labor and pollution control, so that process control helps production management. |
