Résumé : THE usual formalism of quantum electrodynamics1,2 consists in the elimination from the Schrödinger equation of the free particle Hamiltonian Ho and of the particle interaction Hamiltonian Hi. The resulting Schrödinger equation gives the corrections to the motion of the interacting particles due to their presence in an external field Hamiltonian He. © 1951 Nature Publishing Group.
