Résumé : Actually, tracks left by the early-live adversity on brain in development are the object of numerous research. This article aims to illustrate from a biological point of view, the consequences of the early stress on the psychological development of the child and on the possible appearance of anxious and depressive disorders. We have studies carried out on animals and on human beings. At the molecular levels, the resultant aftereffects of the early psychological traumas are connected to modifications of the expression of genes, called epigenetics mechanisms. © De Boeck Supérieur.
