Résumé : | Verocytotoxin-producing Escherichia coli (VTEC) strains of serotype O128ab:H2 were isolated from blood and stool of a 27-year-old male presenting diarrhea-associated hemolytic-uremic syndrome complicated by bacteremia. This report once again illustrates the pathogenic potential of a non-O157 VTEC strain carrying a virulence profile previously associated with mild disease. |
