Résumé : | Laminar limestones, abundant in the Fromelennes Formation (Upper Givetian, Dinant Basin) are subtidal to supratidal deposits. Sedimentological analysis enables recognition of six microfacies, each of them characteristic of different environments in an extensive tidal flat complex. The sedimentation is controlled by the binding role of algal mats during flooding of the tidal flat. -from English summary |
