Résumé : The eigenvalue problem associated with the Fokker-Planck equation for Schlögl's model is discussed. The first few excited states are calculated using a variational method. The first eigenvalue gives the decay process of the metastable state. The higher eigenvalues are compared with Suzuki's intermediate time scale. © 1980, All rights reserved.
