Résumé : In this case of an upper gastro-intestinal hemorrhage resulting from esophageal varices with splenomegaly, radiographic studies established the diagnosis. The required information was obtained with a variety of radiological examinations: barium studies of the G.I.tract, computerized tomography, celiac arteriography and splenoportography. The primary lesion was a retroperitoneal mass (lymphoma). This produced a compression of the splenic vessels, with elective venous obstruction.
