Résumé : Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) has been reported in infants and children, as has mother-to-infant transmission, suggesting in-utero or perinatal infection. We report a familial cluster of three Rwandese brothers and their parents with T-cell deficiency and carriage of antibodies to human T-cell lymphotropic virus type III (HTLV-III)/lymphadenopathy-associated virus (LAV) with features suggesting other routes of transmission.
