Résumé : Thirteen patients with varying degrees of amblyopia were examined for perception of retinal rivalry using the phase difference haploscope. Visual acuity was varied in the fixing eye by additional plus lenses. Retinal rivalry could be detected over wide ranges of visual acuity disparity by amblyopes with visual acuity better than 20/50. But, rivalry could not be detected by patients with less than 20/50 in their amblyopic eye.
