Résumé : A measure of the information content of an evidence inducing a belief function or a possibility function is axiomatically defined. Its major property is to be additive for distinct evidences. Measures are developed of the information content of an evidence appropriate when belief or possibility functions are used. The additivity means that the information content derived from two distinct and non-conflictual evidences is the sum of the information contents of each evidence. Properties of these measures are studied. Refs.
