| Résumé : | A partir d’une situation clinique abordée en tant que thérapeute de famille, nous pointerons les difficultés qui peuvent se poser à un parent en grande souffrance psychique alors qu’apparaît un symptôme chez son enfant. L’atelier propose de réfléchir à la rencontre des représentations des patients et des thérapeutes et à leur impact sur le fonctionnement d’une famille. Plusieurs questions seront envisagées au départ d’une demande diagnostique : Comment faire la part entre héritage psychique et hérédité génétique ? Qu’en est-il de l’héritage familial ? Comment s’y prendre pour soutenir l’enfant et sa famille sans minimiser les difficultés ? Comment soutenir le développement de l’enfant et les compétences parentales tout en évitant de renforcer la prophétie autoréalisatrice (« la transmission s’est produite ») et sans inhiber les capacités créatrices de l’ensemble des acteurs concernés (autre parent, fratrie, soignants, ...) ? |
| Which representation of the family has a parent suffering from a psychiatric illness with genetic transmission ? What are the influences on the child’s development ? Referring to a clinical situation approached as a family therapist, we will point out the difficulties that can occur to a parent having great psychical suffering, while a symptom appears at his child. The workshop proposes a reflection upon the matching of patients and therapists representations and their impact on the functioning of a family. Several questions will be considered, starting from the diagnostic question : how to distinguish psychical inheritance and genetic heredity ? How to support the child and its family without minimizing the difficulties ? How to support the child’s development and the parental abilities while avoiding to intensify the self-fulfilling prophecy (« transmission has occurred ») and without inhibiting the creative capacities of all the concerned actors (other parent, brother/sister, nursing staff) ? |
