Résumé : An analytical solution for predicting switching performance of a forward power converter with an insulation transformer is presented. The circuit waveforms are calculated, particularly those which concern the transistor. The aim is to estimate the transistor switching losses and the dimension of the converter components. The theoretical predictions are experimentally verified for a forward converter with power MOSFETs.
