Résumé : The electroshock method of action and the loss of memory it may provoke are summarized, and the studies published on unilateral electroshock are reviewed. It is believed that an electric shock on the non dominant hemisphere of the brain seems to significantly lower confusion and memory losses with an equal therapeutic benefit and a possibility of daily use.
