Résumé : Lower limb edema remains the most common complication after cancer treatment that produces an obstruction of the lymphatic system resulting in a decreased draining capacity. The authors describe briefly the physiology and physiopathology of the lymphatic system even as the etiology and the stages of the edema. The physical treatment of the edema is described during and after the hospitalization. Finally, the surgical treatment of the edema is also evoked. © 2012 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
