Résumé : All strains of Staph. aureus isolated from pathological products are sensitive to less than 1µg/ml of enduracidin. Strains with an heterogeneous resistance to methicillin are also sensitive to the antibiotic. Intramuscular injections of enduracidin in guinea-pigs provide the serum of the animals with a rapid and complete bactericidal action on Staph. aureus ATCC 9801. A study of the activity curves shows that the speed of action of enduracidin in serum depends on the antibiotic concentration. © 1972 S. Karger AG, Basel.
