| Résumé : | Geographical space is a product of the history of social formations which exploit the environment as a function of the interests of dominant economic agents. Only a historical perspective permits a global comprehension. This pedagogic file attempts to illustrate this thesis using the example of four Latin American nations, using various maps to synthesise the essential stages in the production of their national space. -P.Hardiman |
