Résumé : The authors report one case of lichenoid drug eruption and one case of loss of taste in patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with Pyritinol. Those side effects disappeared when the patients were withdrawn from this treatment. The toxicity of 5-mercaptopyridoxine seems thus to be more and more similar to that of D-penicillamine. The various hypotheses which possibly explain the pathogenesis of both side effects are discussed.
