Résumé : Cyanogenic cardiac malformations have a record of high and early mortality. In most cases they never attain adulthood without surgical correction. Fallot's tetralogy and Eisenmenger's syndrome are practically the only malformations which can still be found in the small number of survivors after the age of 40. Early correction is therefore essential, although the best age for surgery is still debatable for abnormalities which have been well tolerated during the first years of life.
