Résumé : The authors compared two methods of measurements of the elastic lung properties in normal subjects and in pathology. For pulmonary volumes greater than the functional residual capacity, there is no difference between the elastic recoil measured by the quasi static method and that obtained by the true static method, both in normal and pathologic subjects. For lung volumes under FRC, the quasi static method underestimates the elastic recoil.
