Résumé : | In a double blind procedure, 30 patients under neuroleptics and 30 patients under antidepressants received either anetholetrithione or a placebo. Dryness of the mouth was quantified on a 5 points scale according to the patient's interview and the clinical observation. Anetholetrithione significantly improved 75% of patients, neuroleptic cases and antidepressant cases equally. The drug had almost no side effects of its own; on the contrary, it favorably influenced constipation, a frequent symptom among such patients. |
