Résumé :

A novel sterol containing four hydroxy groups has been isolated from the soft coral Anthelia glauca. Its structure, 5α-ergostane-3β, 5,6β,7β-tetrol (1), has been deduced by spectroscopic methods and confirmed by comparison with a synthetic analog. © 1981.
