Résumé : Correlated wave functions of the configuration-interaction type are constructed for the ground state and several excited states n1L (n = 2, ... 6, L = 0, ... 5) of the helium atom. Radial and angular correlation effects are investigated. The relative merits of different sets of basis functions are compared. The H- ion and the 23S state of helium are also studied. © 1970.
