| Résumé : | In this paper the risk of local boiling of the moderator in a pressure tube reactor has been investigated. For various coolant channel concepts, the inlet temperature of the moderator has been determined in such a way that this phenomenon will not occur. An experimental study has shown the instable character of the downward flow of the moderator. Furthermore it has been verified that the orifices of the distribution plates cause local increase of heat transfer. © 1969. |
