Résumé : The author studies the conditions under which the classical model of diffusion is no longer suitable for explaining the dynamical behaviour of gaseous mixtures and has to be replaced by a "two fluid" model of the type used in helium II at very low temperatures. He shows that such conditions, although exceptional, can nevertheless exist in certain ionised plasmas for high kinetic temperatures of the electrons. He considers their effects in rapidly varying macroscopic phenomena. © 1959.
