Résumé : This paper generalizes earlier results on the conditions for the deadbeat settings of generalized predictive control (GPC). Then, these deadbeat settings are used for a suitable augmented system to make the GPC design be equivalent to the usual pole placement design. A recursive tuning strategy is proposed to avoid the numerical ill-conditioning problem when overparameterization or near pole-zero cancellation is encountered. Two simulation examples illustrate the good performances of the proposed algorithm.
