Résumé : Electrochemical reactions of sulphides formed by sulphate-reducing bacteria are analysed both in the case of a complete absence of oxygen and in the presence of small amounts of oxygen. Experimental techniques that document these reactions are described, together with the results obtained so far. These techniques include measurement of the potential of silver, redox potentials and pH. A probe designed for such measurements under biofilms is presented. The probe also includes measurements on the kinetics of corrosion reactions and on the formation of atomic hydrogen. A simplified construction was used on-line. © 1993.
