Résumé : This article examines different aspects of the demography of Belgium's tourist communes, with a special consideration for those which most attract retirement migrations, corresponding to the coast and the Ardennes valleys. The migratory profiles per age are analysed, as well as the migrants' origin and destination and the hypothesis of the extent of return migrations is tested. Long-term demographic change, age structures, sex ratio and civil status structures are also considered.
