Résumé : This work deals with the modeling and the direct numerical simulations of the mass transfer of a gaseous component from a gaseous phase to a liquid spherical droplet in free fall, where the absorbed component takes part to a chemical reaction. This study is realized by computing simultaneously the flow fields and the concentration fields in both gaseous and liquid phase, in order to develop a better understanding of the complex interaction between all the phenomena taking place and their effects on the transfer rate.
