Résumé : The 13C(α,n)16O reaction is studied in a microscopic multicluster model, where the 13C and 16O nuclei are described by a tetrahedral structure involving 3α+n and 4α clusters, respectively. The model provides a good description of the 17O spectrum near the 13C+α threshold. We focus on the 1/2+2 subthreshold state which essentially determines the low-energy 13C(α,n)16O S-factor. The present result is consistent with a previous microscopic calculation and confirms the low-energy enhancement. The analysis is complemented by an investigation of the 16O(n,γ)17O and 16O(p,γ)17F reactions. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
