Résumé : We investigate the response of a layer of a fluid heated from below (the Rayleigh-Bénard problem) subject to a systematic rotation and a small random angular velocity about the same axis, simulating approximately the effect of a weak random stirring. We find that to the lowest three orders of perturbation this preserves the bifurcation of spatial patterns, shifting merely the Rayleigh number at which the most probable amplitude becomes finite, to higher values. © 1986 The American Physical Society.
