Résumé : Some key immune-responsive genes (IRGs), like CCL20, have been identified as primary targets of DNA methylation in response to oral bacteria challenge (Yin & Chung, 2011) and changes in this epigenetic mark have recently been unraveled at the whole genome level in response to MTB infection (Pacis et al. 2015). However, very little is known about the impact of DNA (de)methylation on the transcriptional regulation of IRGs during bacterial infection and on the control of bacterial pathogenesis. To address these questions, we have used Shigella flexneri and/or PAMPS with intestinal Caco2/TC7 cell line and human intestinal organoids as model systems of host-bacterial interaction.
