Résumé :

A report is given of a case of double-sided neuritis retrobulbaris and exophthalmos with oedema of the surroundings, under treatment with anti-thyroidin medicaments. The case was cured without adverse consequences. The disease is described more closely on the grounds of the literature. It is not possible to predict whether the treatment will be favorable or not. There is no direct relationship between the changes in the eye and the general symptoms. Medicaments and operative therapy idecompression of the orbit) gave similar results. © 1953 S.
