Résumé : The positive deviations from Raoult's law which have been experimentally observed in the 3He-4He solutions are discussed on the basis of the cell model used in the preceding papers of this serie. It is shown that this effect is primarly due to the difference of masses of the two isotopes and so to the difference in the zero point energy. The statistics plays only a secondary role in introducing an excess entropy of mixing. This difference is shown to give rise to a positive excess energy which is of the right order of magnitude. A negative excess volume (contraction on mixing) is predicted on the basis of this model. © 1953.
