Résumé :

The epimerisation of cis and trans isomers of 4‐tertiobutylcyclohexanol and of 4‐cyclohexylcyclohexanol is studied. The equilibration of these alcohols by catalytic methods may be interpreted by the thermodynamics of the conformational equatorial‐axial equilibrium of the hydroxyl group.
