Résumé : Osteodystrophy and calcinosis were sought as a routine in 148 cases of chronic uremia treated by repeated hemodialysis, of which 80 were finally treated by renal transplantation. 33 cases (22%) had radiological lesions. 32 cases showed the classical lesions of secondary hyperparathyroidism and 8 those of osteomalacia or rickets. Attempted correlations were made between the radiological lesions and the disturbances of phosphorus and calcium metabolism. There was no definite correlation between the onset of radiological lesions and the increase in serum calcium and alkaline phosphatase levels. The effect of variations in calcium levels on the dialysis fluid was then studied.
