Résumé : The reduction in sliding resistance of soil against bulldozing plates, was investigated using unsmoothed bionic surfaces. About twelve plates of approximately 152×200 mm were constructed. Drag tests were also performed in a soil bin, filled with a loamy soil. The plates were screwed on one end of a steel bar with a rake of 30%, the other end being fixed to a force transducer measuring separately the draft, the vertical force, and the moment. The results show mean work per unit surface of plat equal to 108.6 kJ/m 2 for the reference plate.
