Résumé : A sequence of photochemical reactions of interest in atmospheric physics is considered. Mass and energy-balance equations are derived and studied both analytically and numerically. It is shown that under certain conditions the approach to the steady state is characterized by considerable overshoots in the composition variables and in the temperature. © by Walter de Gruyter & Co.
