Résumé : The cutaneous ultra-violet (UV)-induced erythema seems related to prostaglandin production by the skin. Non steriodal antiinflammatory drugs delay the onset of this erythema and reduce its intensity. According to the studied organ and the experimental procedure, various authors have observed contractions or relaxation of isolated smooth muscle when irradiated by UV in vitro. In a preliminary study that does not allow a statistical analysis, on guineapig isolated ileum the authors observed in a very limited number of cases a small potentialization by UV (366 nm) of the contraction induced by some agonists.
