Résumé : In its native stressed habitat, the population appears rather static and conservative having a fairly slow turnover of mature plants, high mortality of juveniles, a long delay before sexual maturity and prepotency of the oldest individuals in sexual reproduction. With better environmental conditions in a revegetational trial, the same population shows an enhanced growth rate which could result in better demographical characteristics. Armeria maritima from old zinc-lead mines appears as having good potential for revegetation of heavy metal contaminated areas. - from Authors
